Reflection – English Grammar work

KIA ORA READERS AND BLOGGERS !!!!

Today I will be talking about the work that we have been doing since last week, Miss Tozer is a student teacher who wants to be a good teacher and she is teaching us really well we all want her to be our English teacher.

In term 1 we did an introductory letter to introduce ourselves then we read a short story about Alma, which is a bit emotional but horror and that story was all about curiosity, then we did activities around it also in English every morning we do a quiz to wake our brain, then we got on with the work.

After a few weeks of doing tasks around Alma’s short story, we did the recount task and Figurative language. The next day we completed the task then we did things around punctuations which were a bit boring but fun to do, we did some tasks around the Wish which is an interesting story that I ever heard and this is how we do work we read the story first then we do the questions and answer after reading the story.

A few weeks later after a long break from school, we read a story about the playground we did research about Butterball and the author, and more.

Thanks for reading my blogpost.

How does Brain work’s – Wanaga

KIA ORA READERS – BLOGGERS !!! 😉 😄 🙂

Today I will be talking about how the brain works what your left hemisphere controls and right side hemisphere and more.

Our brains have two sides, or hemispheres. In most people, language skills are on the left side of the brain. The right side controls attention, memory, reasoning, and problem-solving.

In general, the left hemisphere controls speech, comprehension, arithmetic, and writing. The right hemisphere controls creativity, spatial ability, artistic, and musical skills. The left hemisphere is dominant in hand use and language in about 92% of people.

How does the brain work? The brain sends and receives chemical and electrical signals throughout the body. Different signals control different processes, and your brain interprets each. Some make you feel tired, for example, while others make you feel pain.

Thank you for reading my blog post. 😃😄🙂

Cloning

KIA ORA !!!👋

Today I will be talking about cloning. Down below: 😉

Outline the process of cloning

To make a clone, scientists transfer the DNA from an animal’s somatic cell into an egg cell that has had its nucleus and DNA removed. The egg develops into an embryo that contains the same genes as the cell donor. Then the embryo is implanted into an adult female’s uterus to grow.

How does the clone’s genotype compare to the parent’s genotype?

The clones are supposed to produce an exact copy of the parent but vary from each parent to the DNA in the cytoplasm’s mitochondria. The clones have the same genes but may vary from the parent as the expression of the genes in the clones may differ.

Ethical consideration and cloning humans?

Because the risks associated with reproductive cloning in humans introduce a very high likelihood of loss of life, the process is considered unethical. Other philosophical issues have also been raised concerning the nature of reproduction and human identity that reproductive cloning might violate.

The most interesting about cloning

Stem cells are an early form of cells that can grow into many different types of cells and tissues. Scientists can turn them into nerve cells to fix a damaged spinal cord or insulin-making cells to treat diabetes.

Pedigree dogs – Science

KIAORA READERS !!!!

Today I will be talking about pedigree dogs it is important to know about dogs so you can learn how to take care of them, and also here are some dogs that we discussed below.

Bloodhounds have loose skin around their eyes. So grass seeds get stuck in their eyes – painful!.

Pekingese dogs have very short faces. So it’s hard for them to breathe or smell.

Chows used to have normal eyes. But judges favor tiny eyes. So chows get in-growing eyelashes – this hurts!

Bulldogs now have massive heads – so big they can’t get through their mother’s Pelvies! So they must be born by cesarean section.

These are the most common dogs that we discussed today.

Scientists have identified 30,000 genetic defects in pedigree dogs.

All animals carry defective genes. These are made by mutations. Mutations happen if DNA is not copied properly when a cell divides. Because of their close genetic relationship, two closely related dogs – like wrinkly-faced bloodhounds – have the same genes for their wrinkly faces. But they probably also have the same damaged genes. So if you breed from them there’s more chance that their puppies will have a genetic disease.

KIA ORA READERS!!!!!!

Aim :

What is the purpose of this activity?

This activity aims to the DNA of Zombie and the Zombie allies.

Method:

Picking parent’s alleles, here are some pictures to describe the parent’s alleles, which doesn’t help here more information.

Different types of alleles

Dominant and Recssive – The big letter is for dominat and the small letter is for recsssive, and in one of the image ut has punett square.

What is punett square?

here is the image of the punnet square, so again I know it’s hard to understand biology, also the capital is the father and the small letter is the mother or you can say it the other way it’s up to you.

Guatemala – The problem of Plastic pollution

KIA ORA !!!!

Here is the link to the video that explains about the plastic pollution – Plastic pollution

Hi, today I’m here to talk about the river of Guatemala which is really dirty apparently. there are 20,000 tonnes of plastic flowing through the Rio Motagua but now they have pretty much cleaned the ocean also it took them one year to clean the ocean it’s a pretty short time to clean the entire river.

Plastic pollution in the ocean

Plastic is one of the most enduring materials man has created. Nowadays, we all know that it can take hundreds of years for plastic to degrade, and research is showing that it is possible that it does not even fully degrade, but becomes what we call microplastic.

Microplastics are tiny particles of plastic that can be eaten by marine animals and end up in their bodies and tissues, entering the food chain and leading to disastrous consequences for the health of our planet and all its inhabitants.

Even if human beings are becoming more and more aware of the hazards this material poses to life, the presence of plastic in our ocean is continually increasing, and plastic pollution is still one of the main causes of marine species extinction, health problems for human beings and animals alike, and the destruction of our ecosystems.

Plastic pollution and lay out the data and statistics you need to understand the daunting issue we are facing. Most importantly, we will also look at what we can do as individuals and as part of our society to prevent plastic pollution and save our planet.

The majority of plastic pollution in the ocean is caused by littering: we buy or use disposable plastic items (food wrappings, plastic bags, razors, bottles, etc.) and do not dispose of them properly, which causes them to end up in the waterways and eventually in the ocean.

Marine plastic debris groups up in what we call garbage patches, plastic accumulation areas, in the center of the ocean’s gyres. The biggest is the Great Pacific garbage patch, located between Hawaii and California.
